Extending the Graal Compiler for Optimizing Libraries

The Graal compiler is an optimizing just-in-time compiler written in Java that works with the Maxine VM and the HotSpot VM. It allows Java libraries to extend its functionality by providing new intermediate representation nodes and new optimization phases. We demonstrate how to write such plug-ins for the Graal compiler.
